The annual Tour of Champions (TOC) is one of the most highly anticipated celebrations for the National MS Society top fundraisers. The weekend honors those riders who have made a significant contribution to create a world free of multiple sclerosis. Each year, millions are raised to fund vital programs and services to improve the quality of life for the MS community, as well as cutting-edge research for treatments and a cure.
This year, TOC participants will travel to Colorado Springs, CO September 7-10, 2017. The TOC weekend celebration includes:
*Please note: If you accept the TOC prize, you will be solely responsible for reporting and paying any and all applicable taxes and fees associated with the trip. Registered participants will be required to complete an IRS Form W-9 and return it to the National MS Society by July 31, 2017. Any person receiving $600 or more in prizes (on a calendar year basis) from the National MS Society South Central Region will receive an IRS Form 1099 at the end of the calendar year and a copy of such form will be filed with the IRS.
After receiving notification that you qualify to participate in the Tour of Champions, please complete the online TOC Registration Form and submit by the July 12, 2017 deadline. Please thoroughly review all TOC Policies before submitting your registration.
Included in the link above are forms requesting information if you'd like to ship your personal bike or rent one locally through the National MS Society and a TOC Biography Questionnaire to share a little information about yourself for our event book. Each TOC attendee must complete the Emergency Waiver section which is included in the Registration form above as well. If you plan to bring a guest, please complete their information in the registration form and have them complete a Guest Emergency Waiver & Biography Form.
If you have a guest fee ($1,200), bike shipping fee ($125), bike rental fees ($115/bike) or excursion fee (Hike $36, COG Railway $71, Shopping $21) associated with TOC, the payment deadline is July 31, 2017. If you would like to pay for those with a credit card online, please click the link below. To access the payment website you will need to have your rider login available.
Otherwise, please mail checks to National MS Society, PO Box 4125, Houston, TX 77210-4125 and indicate "TOC" in the memo section of the check.
After landing at Denver International Airport, you will be greeted by MS staff as you collect your bags. We will depart by charter bus to Colorado Springs with lunch on board. After checking into your room at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort, the group will gather for a welcome reception and dinner at the resort.
On Friday morning, cyclists will participate in a 33 mile fully-supported bike ride through Western Colorado Springs and the Garden of the Gods. Lunch will be provided at the 20 mile point in the Garden of the Gods park. The park’s central garden trails can be accessed from the lunch stop, giving cyclists the option to hike and either take the shuttle back to the resort or cycle back the last 13 miles. Staff can bring your shoes and/or hiking gear to lunch. Guests that are not participating in the bike ride can take a shuttle to meet cyclists for lunch and hiking at Garden of the Gods or tour the new exhibits in the visitors center.
Friday’s dinner is on your own in Colorado Springs. There are a few restaurants within walking distance from the resort, but most will require shuttle or alternate transportation.
On Saturday, enjoy a 26 mile morning ride or explore one of the many activities in Colorado Springs or at the resort on your own. There are a number of amenities and activities at the resort including golf, tennis, a fitness center, spa and multiple pools to enjoy during the day. You can also join us for one of three optional group excursions on Saturday morning.

Saturday morning's 26 mile ride will be supported with SAG vehicles and one breakpoint at mile 10, however numerous parks with restroom locations are indicated on the route map.
If you plan to participate in one or more of these rides, please fill out the appropriate bike shipping or bike rental sections on the registration form. There is a fee of $125 for us to ship your own personal bike or $115 for us to rent you a bike locally. *Please note that rentals are limited and will be filled on a first come first serve basis.
